BIG DOS's week in review

Oh hello there, I didn't hear you come in. But that's okay, I was just about to make some tea and think about the week that was. Is Jasmine alright? I like your taste....

So anyway, I was telling Marsha from next door, what a big week it was for Hal Bird and myself. We turned on the visuals for one of our hometown favorites 'Doe' on Monday night for their final show as part of their residency at the Exeter. Boy I sure do dig their sound and look forward to many more! There's a clip from the show at the bottom of the post. It's a goodun...

Annnnnnnd on Thursday we snuck down into the basement of Format on Peel st for a night of 'Psychetronica' Which proved to be a REAL gritty mix of industrial acts and a surprisingly excellent experimental hiphop group called Vintage. Be sure to check em out. 5 out of 5 Egg's from me.

Sooo anyway that's it for another installment
Many thanks to all the bands for the memories, and to our brains for storing the memories generated by the bands.

Check out this super fresh clip from the Doe show.

Oh what a night,

Late December back in `63,
That was a very special time for me,
What a Lady what a night....
Ahem.  Oh Chut up, don't act like you don't think it's a good song.

Hi there,
I wish to report that last Thursday's show at Arcade Lane with Dark Cloud, d33p h33t, Astral Lotus, Swagga and Lorn from the US ol A, was exceedingly eggcelent.  4.5 out of 5 eggs if I had to rate it so.  Minus a bit for the smaller than expected turn out. But it's Fringe time so it's anybody's horse, ya know?

Never the less,
Those Dark Cloud guys were dishin out some serious and mysterious beats.  The visuals were sweet, but I wasn't quick enough to get the camera out.  Totally wanna do some more stuff with those guys anyway.
And it was nice to throw some good stuff to our old friends d33p h33t.  They never miss a b33t ah haha ahha ha get it? it rhymes hahahaha!  Here's some footage of what went down.  Apologies for the lame angle and sound on both vids.

Then this really cool and really nice guy called Lorn from Amerikee Illinoiyee did his thing and thwumped out about 1 and a ½ hours of good solid dancetastic beatness.  it was a rad show and I would be honored if you would watch this humble clip.

Ah soooo......
We are available for Children's Parties &  Church Picnics.
But we also dabble with: Psychedelic/Beat/Electro/Dance/Ambient Music Makers

We have something to show you

To our millions of fans that read this humble blog of ours almost religiously. We would like to tell you that we are very excited to be having two shows this week. That's right, not one, BUT TWO! Now i know this is a very exciting prospect for you all, but we urge you to exercise restraint and just be cool.

Think, What would Gaddafi do?
Probably blow you up, that's what!

But Hal and I wouldn't do that. It's simply too mean. We like Kittens, soft pillows and Lucky Dips. That's just how we roll.

This Wednesday night (23rd of Feb) you will find us located in the fabulous Light Square open air amphitheater throwing shapes, colors and even pictures as apart of Higher Grounds Shimmering West event.

AnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnD
If you think the stigmata seeping from the corners of your eyes after the first show wasn't enough, then we are very EGGcited to inform you that we will appearing at Arcade Lane on the Thursday (The 24th of Feb) in support of US Illinois Beatmaker LORN. This is the good shit right here and you would be a punkass bee-arch sucklin on a cows titty if you miss it. Know what I mean?

Also performing on the night will be a chill-groove set from Astral Lotus, Experimental symphonic geniuses Dark Cloud and local hiphop danger duo d33p h33t will be applying their ancient rap-related-remedies onto aging sport stars, whilst at the same time maintaining a steady verbal flow that can only be described as discursive (that's a good thing btw)

You dont want to end up like these guys....
